Dressing a Nation: 1956-2000 Sumerbank Patterns Exhibition

Аннотация

 “Dressing a Nation: 1956–2000 Sumerbank Patterns Exhibition” was conducted between January 12 and February 12, 2018 at the Contemporary Arts Center in Ankara, the Turkish capital. Exhibition was significant for reminding the memories of Sumerbank, an institution with a strong historical background. The exhibition that reminded the memories of a high volume of visitors, who witnessed the recent Turkish history.In the present study, the importance and meaning of "Sumerbank" which constitutes the content and significance of the said exhibition and occupies a significant place in social memory, were addressed in the present study within the context of "Dressing a Nation: 1956–2000 Sumerbank Patterns Exhibition".
