New Urbarchitectonic Design of Pedestrian Bridges

Аннотация

1. Using ten realized examples from all over the world this paper confirms that the pedestrian bridges are not any longer only engineering and functional utility buildings connecting the shores and microambient urban entities. Designing-aesthetic and artistic dimension of formation of these physical structures in organic correlation with natural environment is an obligatory component with which the pedestrian bridges become iconic-cultural important architectonic futuristic references. Bridge designers in their quest for the best innovative designs apart from structural designing approaches have a concept of sculptural-artistic significant material compositions which have attractive complex geometrical forms living 24-hours a day. They are a result of application of computer and other technologies as well as the most contemporary artifact building materials.
